Un altro dettaglio del progetto personale a cui sto lavorando, questo è un ritratto di Ada Gobetti dipinto a tempera (guazzo). Ho voluto assolutamente inserire il suo bel sorriso nela composizione, per cercare di catturare la sua personalità aperta e positiva.

A detail of a new cover illustration in progress, a personal project for my portfolio. It's about Ada Gobetti, one of the most inspiring women leader of the Italian resistance movement, also journalist and teacher after World War 2. She was active in Turin and around the nearby mountain valleys.

Un'oasi "xerotermica" è una zona dal clima particolarmente secco e caldo situata in una posizione geografica inusuale e isolata rispetto al clima circostante. Questo dipinto a tempera è un "remake" di un'illustrazione ad acquerello (l'ultima immagine) realizzata per la mia tesi all'Accademia di Belle Arti nel lontanissimo 2008, per cui ho disegnato specie di particolari interesse osservabili in Valle di Susa.

I painted a scenario with common species found in a "xerothermal oasi", a zone that's got a particularly warm and dry climate, located in an isolated and unusual geographical zone. It is home to a peculiar set of plants and animals. This is a gouache painting, a remake of a watercolor illustration from my Academic thesis about flora and fauna from the Susa Valley (2008) (last picture)
